Seven of the twenty best female tennis players in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) have confirmed their participation in the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open 2025 tournament. This indicates the growing significance of this tournament on the global stage. During the week-long competition at the Zayed Sports City courts, a competitive atmosphere is expected with the participation of world tennis stars.

Among the players who have confirmed their participation is defending champion Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, currently ranked sixth in the world, and Daria Kasatkina, ranked ninth, aiming for redemption after last year's loss in the final. Also participating are Olympic champion from Switzerland Belinda Bencic, the 2023 winner, and Ons Jabeur from Tunisia after her extended absence due to shoulder injury.

The Tennis Village this time has become the most extensive in the tournament's history. With activities for family outings, live music, tasty food, and sponsor activations, Tennis Village promises to be a center of attention for tennis enthusiasts of all ages.

"This year opens a new chapter for tennis in the region," said tournament director Najdjel Guptar. Among the participants is also former world number two, Paula Badosa from Spain, as well as Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, a semifinalist from the two previous editions of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open. Another notable participant is Emma Navarro from the USA.

"Last year's tournament was an incredible experience, and I eagerly await the opportunity to return and compete again in Abu Dhabi," said Kasatkina. "My experience in this tournament only strengthened my determination to advance further this time," she added.
